About
Hi there and thank you for stopping by my website. My name is Gary, but some call me G-man, while others refer to me simply as "G". One special person even calls me "Dad" sometimes.
I am an exploration geologist by education and profession - that just means I get to explore for buried treasure for a living and somewhat explains the website name. My passion for photography began a very long time ago, sometime during the Cretaceous Period, I think. Back then I used to take pictures of rocks, caribou and the odd dinosaur now and again with a Pentax K1000 film camera. After the Pentax and I broke up, I had many, many, many meaningless relationships with a myriad of “point-and-shoot” digital cameras, until I met my Canon Rebel XTi - from that moment on, I was hooked with digital photography and have suffered through many years of chronic GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) ever since.
Although I find myself photographing pretty much anything these days, I can definitely say I most enjoy trying to capture those rare "...ahhhhh..." moments that Mother Nature sometimes lets us witness.
Feel free to drop me a note at igneousimagery@gmail.com if you’re interested in purchasing a signed print.
Thanks for visiting.
